                          Food Addiction Treatment

The Answer Model has been extraordinarily effective at helping people with eating disorders, food addictions, and general weight problems.

The Answer Model addresses the core issues that drive a wide variety of unhealthy behaviors, including food-related issues. When we counsel people for drug and alcohol addiction, we often find that our clients, in addition to stopping their drugging and drinking, also lose substantial amounts of weight, frequently up to 25 or 50 pounds.

The same experiences, traumas, pains, and fears that drive some people to compensate by using drugs or alcohol, can also lead people to compensate with food. One of the main differences between drug addiction and food addiction, however, is that while you can completely stop using heroin or alcohol, you have to keep eating to survive. Because of the necessity for food, you must learn how to moderate and balance your eating, and this challenge makes food addiction the most difficult addiction to permanently overcome.

The food itself, however, is NOT the problem! When we help you fill the void by dealing with the core issues that are causing you pain, you will stop filling that void unconsciously with food.
